“Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.”
So God tells his followers to go and destroy Amalek, not only killing every soldier, but to also kill all the citizens, babies and animals. But God doesn’t stop there, numerous times either he kills people, or orders their deaths. It would be ridiculous to believe that all of the people God was against were evil and immoral, they just don’t agree with him and won’t hand over their possessions and their lives to Gods ‘chosen people’.
