There are 31,000 verses in the Bible, but I’m surprised at how many odd ones there are. Take for instance 1 Chronicles 13:9-10
9 And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
10 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.
So a man stumbled and put his hand against the ark to steady himself, and God killed him for it. Remind me again how this is fair, would you?
I can just imagine a giant hand coming out of the clouds and squishing Uzza, leaving a red splat on the floor. Or maybe God just stood there and poked him.
