This one is about Christianity, Jesus and violence. Matthew 26:50-53
Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. With that, one of Jesus’ companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
“Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
Some sources, such as ‘christianconservativelife’ (a blog on wordpress) say that this means that you should rely on God, not a weapon. God isn’t going to help you if you’re being robbed. Standing there and praying won’t do nothing. God is not a substitute for martial arts!
And by the looks of it Jesus is not a pacifist, he says that he can bring 12 legions (3000-6000 warriors) of angels to obey his every command. Why did he not use them for anything?! If he had all of that power he could have covered the globe in his warriors, preaching to every human. But for some reason that thought never entered his head.
